Dr. Edmund Olu Ayoola, a Geologist, recently retired as Group Executive Director, Exploration and production of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. Apart from being occupying the next most senior position to that of the group Managing Director of NNPC, Dr. Ayoola in his position was responsible for all oil and gas upstream activities of NNPC and its subsidiaries . In this position, he supervised the Nigerian Petroleum Investment Services (NAPIMS), Integrated Data Services Limited, Nigerian Gas Company and Nigerian Petroleum Development Company. At various times in NNPC, he has been Managing Director of the Nigeria Petroleum Development Company Limited, a subsidiary of NNPC(which under him the fastest field production in the world was recorded), as well as Group General Manager in charge of Gas Division , NAPIMS (another subsidiary of NNPC).
While in NNPC, Dr. Ayoola served as NNPC representative in the NLNG Technical Advisory, General Advisory, Commercial Advisory and Shareholders’ Expert Committees. He was a member of the NNPC Task Force on the implementation of Gas Utilization Law, Chairman of Project Development Unit on Standard Petrochemical Industries on MEOH/MTBE Plant, member, Board of Directors of West African Gas Pipeline, among others. Prior to working in NNPC, Dr. Ayoola served in the Geological Survey Office of the Federal Government of Nigeria as well as in Mobil Producing Nigeria as Wellsite Geologist.
Dr. Ayoola holds a B. Sc. Degree in Geology from Nigeria (1971), a Masters Degree in Petroleum Geology (1975) and a Ph. D in Sedimentology (1978) all from Imperial College, London. He is married with children and a member of several professional societies.
Mr. Ugbeda Andrew Ibrahim is currently the Deputy Manager Exploration and Production of Oilworld Limited. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Science from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra State, Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Management from Excel University, Infangni, Benin Republic, Advance Project Management from First Logic Training Center, Abuja, Certificate in Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) Blackpool, and The Fylde College, UK , Geology and Geophysics training using Geographix Dharmattan Lagos and MSc Petroleum Geology (Sedimentology) Nasarawa state University, Kefi, Nasarawa State.
He has over a decade post graduation experience in the Oil and Gas industry. He is a self motivated Geologist with strong technical and analytical skills, highly proficient in information technology and has worked with Oilworld from the year 2005 to date. His skill sets include representing the company's technical views on operations and technical committee; ability to liaise with Governmental Petroleum regulatory agencies, preparing technical standpoints and recommendations for operations, experienced in seismic data acquisition, processing and interpretation. His dexterity also includes interpretation of well log data, analysis of core data and contract negotiation, management and coordination. He has comprehensive experience in both upstream and downstream sectors of the Petroleum Industry.
He is an active member of some professional organisations such as Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationist (NAPE), American Association of Petroleum Geologist (AAPG), Nigerian Mining & Geosciences Society (NMGS) and Council of Mining Engineers & Geoscientist (COMEG).
